# Basic Syllabus Information for Math 0308 and Math 0310

Course Description from Catalog:

Math 0308: Topics for all formats include basic algebraic operations, elementary equations,
laws of integral exponents, factoring and radical notation, rational expressions and an
introduction to the Cartesian coordinate system. This course carries institutional credit but
will not transfer and will not be used to meet degree requirements.

Math 0310: Topics for all formats include special products and factoring, rational expressions
complex numbers , an introduction to the function concept and graphing, equations of lines
and linear systems. This course carries institutional credit but will not transfer and will not be
used to meet degree requirements.

Prerequisites:

Math 0308: You should have satisfied one of the fol lowing criteria before registering for this
course:

1. MATH 0306
2. Placement by testing
3. Instructor/Departmental Approval

Math 0310: You should have satisfied one of the following criteria before registering for this
course:
