This course presents geometric constructions, triangles, congruence,
parallelograms, circles , loci and similar polygons with emphasis on formal proof as
an aid to logical reasoning . Students who have successfully completed high school
geometry will not receive credit for MATH 119.

An in dividualized tutorial laboratory for students to develop their basic skills in

instructor assistance and supervision fol lowing appropriate diagnosis, learning
contracts will be arranged to address students ' individual academic needs and goals.
